Most celebrities leave the public eagerly waiting to see their wedding photos by releasing them in a glossy magazine a few weeks after the Big Day. However, James Middleton and Alizee Thevenet have shared their special occasion after a photograph was posted online by their officiant.
Thirty-four-year-old James, who is brother of Kate Middleton, and his wife tied the knot at a town hall in the rural French village of Bormes-les-Mimosas on Saturday (September 11th).
Overseeing the nuptials was the mayor of the municipal, with the Bormes-les-Mimosas’ Facebook page publishing a happy, natural photo of the bride and groom together with the head of the village, which appeared to have been taken just after they were pronounced husband and wife.
While the photo has since been removed from the social media site, the loved-up couple did release an official image on James’ Instagram page the day after they said ‘I do’.
The photo was captioned: “Mr & Mrs Middleton. Yesterday I married the love of my life surrounded by family, friends and of course a few dogs [sic].”
“Words cannot describe how happy I am,” the entrepreneur added.
It is clear how powerful an image can be, as this has now had over 75,000 likes and received more than 3,800 comments in just a few days.
While nothing has been confirmed, it is believed that Kate and her husband Prince William were in attendance at the village’s exclusive vineyard, Chaeteau Leoube. Their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are also thought to have attended, making up part of the 50-strong guestlist.
