Highcliffe Castle Wedding Photography

Highcliffe Castle wedding photography is a magnificent Grade I-listed property in Christchurch Dorset. The distinguished diplomat Lord Stuart de Rothesay commissioned the construction of this Gothic Revival castle, his childhood visits to this clifftop overlooking Christchurch Bay in Dorset, gave him the inspiration for this grand house. The castle was duly built during the early 1830s; the gardens laid out by Capability Brown are the perfect backdrop for Dorset wedding photography. Highcliffe is certainly an impressive structure and lends itself to Dorset based weddings.

The Wintergarden Room

The light and spacious Wintergarden is certainly one of the most beautiful ceremony rooms in Dorset if not the country. The stunning floor-to-ceiling create a lovely light and airy space, though it can get a bit hot in the middle of summer.

Not only is the Castle the perfect backdrop for your wedding photography, as a wedding photographer I love the fact it is situated on the clifftop, allowing me to utilise the amazing Dorset beaches.

I have photographed many weddings at Highcliffe castle and must advise you that you need an experienced wedding photographer to take on this venue (if you are only holding your wedding ceremony there) you are only given 30 mins in the grounds after your wedding ceremony to get all your photos. Remember wedding never really run to time, therefore you are normally left with 20 to 25 mins for all your wedding photos. With over 10 year’s experiences as a Dorset wedding photographer, you will be in safe hands.
