When it comes to wedding outfits, we hear a lot about the bride and the bridesmaids, but what about the groom? Wedding suit trends are sometimes overlooked, but selecting the perfect attire to complement the beautiful bride can be quite the challenge! Here are some of the latest trends to help the groom look dapper on his big day.

Prints and patterns

2022 is the year for prints and patterns, according to One Fab Day.  It’s a great way to add a twist to an outfit, without stealing the show. The so-called microprint trend features a very compressed check, as an alternative to a block colour. It can work well either for the main pieces of a suit, or to add interest to details such as the tie or pocket square.

1920s fashion

The hit TV show Peaky Blinders has inspired a revival of 1920s style suits. Go for a rustic high-end tweed, in soft earthy tones such as beige, light brown, sage green, or powder blue. If you really want to go the full hog, add a peaked cap and gold pocket watch. This look will make for some memorable wedding photos.

Slim silhouettes

The slim-fit suit continues to be popular in 2022. This look requires a bespoke fitting, to make sure the suit is comfortable and flatters the groom’s body shape. The neat tapered silhouette looks clean and contemporary, while retaining a touch of the classic movie star. A very sophisticated choice that won’t go out of date.

Statement waistcoats

If you would rather stick to a plain grey or navy suit, you could always add a touch of interest with a contrasting waistcoat. Choose a complementary colour, or a pattern which is matched to the accessories. It’s a great compromise for those who like to stay on the safe side of fashion!
